Fried Chicken - Kyochon Style @ 1 Utama Shopping Centre

So how canfried Chicken taster better than Fried Chicken? Why do it the Korean Way I Say! Ok intended puns aside, suffice to say most of the things done the Korean way is pretty good. From their brand of K-pop to theirbrand of new Krean Wave of Dramas and variety shows like running man. Of course let us not forget the Onslaught of Korean BBQs!

Today I want to talk about Kyochon! one of Korea's largest Fried Chicken Franchise!. I mean why didn't we think about it before? Malaysian Fried Chicken? Well actually if you to to Kelantan you will find the Local version of KFC as Kelantan Fried Chicken.*blink blink*

On to the Serious stuff! The moment you are greeted by the friendly and young staff at Kyochon 1991 (yes they strayed away from the KFC moniker) you will be escorted through a maze of tables with whiffs of fried chicken along the way.

A very simple mid sized menu will guide you in the way of the fried chicken. Ranging from the RED Spicy Chicken, HONEY Chicken, and SOY Sauce chicken & the very interesting strips of  SAL SAL boneless chicken. Now if you are wondering which is the best one to order, I would say TRY THEM ALL!
But seeing as there is a great concern for the rise in cost of living net year maybe you want to plan your Kyochon experience with a little Frugality.

Having had a late heavy breakfast, My mom and I decided that we were hungry and looking for a snack. We chanced upon this outlet at the back end of the new wing near Subway Sandwiches. It looked empty so we though we could get really fast service. I mean how hard can it be to fry chicken right?

The chicken is of the spring variety which basically means its a little smaller. The Menu mentions 3 different sizes of orders ranging from S, M to L. Tryng not to be to ambitious and wanting o taste more of the variety of chicken available we ordered 2 servings of small fried chicken. One of the Honey Variety and one Red!
The Red spicy chicken came pretty fast

The Red Chicken was nice and warm and the taste was spicy as expected but  not the kind that would numb your lips. It was nice and crispyy on the outside and still moist on the inside.

Waiting for the Honey Chicken variety though took a long while that my phone battery ran out before I could take a picture of it. so here is another picture of the Red Variety.

Ok a note of Caution for Fried Chicken Lovers!
The size of chicken parts are definitely smaller than KFC. The price for a Drumstick and a pair of smaller sticks of Chicken wings. Its not actually the whole wing that they refer to. It is actually the wing that is split into 2 separate pieces. I am not sure if that is like ripping off abit but for the price of RM9.90++ in a shopping mall with okay service. You get what you pay for. I may be biased because I do love fried chicken. Having said that though, The different choices of flavour of friend chicken is a little bit refreshing.

The best way to enjoy this is to have it in a large quantity with an even larger quantity of Beer or stout!!
