Restoran PJ BARU a hidden adventure.

I was about to write about a harrowing experience about the dim sum I had for lunch today. But, I figured why talk bad about something you don't have control over. So instead here is a little snippet about a great place in PJ State. Anyone who has lived in and around Petaling Jaya especially those around PJ State would definitely know about this place. Restoran PJ Baru has been a contender in PJ state for great Chinese dishes to have with a group of family and friends.

The place is usually airy, and nicely ventilated with the overhead ceiling fans and bright fluorescent lights. One thing that usually catches my eye every time I go there is the Grill fish signage. Serving various fresh fish grilled and put on banana leafs the ikan pari (sting ray fish ) is one of the must try items here. Service is usually fast and prompt and of course it usually helps if you already know what to order before hand.

Here is a random list of dishes that I would recommend in no particular order.

Guiness pai kuat (Pork Ribs in Guiness)
Prawns, fried in various ways.
Namely,  Butter fried Prawns
Ham Tan Harr (Fried with Salted Egg)
Ham Tan Yau Yee ( Fried Calamri with Salted Egg )

Steam fish in soya sauce
Lemon Chicken
Fan Shi Mew (Stir fried Sweet Potatoe Leaves) in Belacan or Curry.

OK the list could go on and on if i don't stop here.

Now for the pictures
Clockwise from top Steamed Talapia fish with light Soya Sauce, Fried Buttered Prawns, Stir-fried Sweet Potatoe leaves with Belacan, Fried Pork in Sweet & Sour Sauce.

BURRRRRRRRRRRPPP!
