Let's say you have friends who are visiting Malaysia for the First time! In Japan you have sushi. Korea, Kimchi. Phillipines, Adobo.  Thailand, Tom Yam. Hong Kong, Dimsum. Macau, Smelly Tofu.

But in Malaysia you have, Ipoh Bean Sprouts, Penang Char Koay Teow, Malacca Chicken Rice Ball, Sarawak Laksa, and the many.

If you live In KL the seemingly best food trip that builds up an appetite while in the car getting there is definately BAKUTEH! Specially KLANG! ok, so u know I'm biased towards BKT. Arguebly the closest Klang Bakuteh shop just after the Batu Tiga Tol. Taman Rasnah Jaya apart from being a hub for Bakuteh. also has alot of interesting makan shops around. The Meat Experts Deli : Bukit Damansara hideout of Healthy Porky Goodness

*Edited on August 7th,2013

A little known fact about Bukit Damansara is that you will find scattered spots of restaurants that you will least likely notice if you just drive by without looking at them.

Nestled in the hills of Bukit Damansara, The Meat Experts is a small deli that sells imported cuts of meat. Whether its cured, air dried, aged or all of that put together. Chances are you will find that Perfect cut here. The cuts of pork here are truly amazing and the staff Mr. Deva is really knowledgeable about the meats there. Don't forget to check out the sausages in the freezer next to the main meat counter.

The shop is on a corner lot next to a parking lot. Its essentially located in a housing area near Stella Maris Primary School. Its really quite during the day and the vast amount of trees truly makes it an escape during lunch hour. Only about 15 minutes away from Pusat Bandar Damansara. 15 minutes, if you count getting into your car and driving out from office.

The usual menu includes sandwiches and burgers. But since the rest of the businesses there don't really fancy sandwiches like me. There will usually be a special every week. The sandwiches here are really healthy in terms of the amount of vegetables that go into it. One of the interesting burgers that i have had is it Salami burger. We all know about salami being on pizza but as a burger? No, is not your 50 cents sized, fatty lined salami burger. This salami is about 3/4 width of compact disc. It is also as thin a one. Now you may think that its not enough for you when you first look at it. But the amount f fresh vegetables like cucumbers, tomato, leafy greens and a slice of cheese really does make one full. Also because of maybe the nutrional Value your body thinks that has eaten enough. I will update this page once i remember to take a picture of it before stuffing my face with it.

I do however have a picture of last weeks special. Spaghetti bolognaise. This is with a porky sauce and high quality pasta. Let alone a good sized portion of it though it might look deceivingly small on the plate

Looks Small but it is a good sized portion

Yummy Spaghetti!!
Don't mind the failed attempt at food photography, I only had my handphone camera with me.

*A few weeks later after the menu was expanded to include Bacon & Egg Fried Rice, Roast Pork Fried Rice. There were also extensions to the Spaghetti portion of the menu with the inclusion of Sausage Spaghetti and an Aglio Olio for non meat eaters. It has really nice mushroom with chilli flakes and not as oily as you might think.

Another thing here is the chilli sauce. I don't usually like chilli sauce but when i have it here its quite addictive!

If you are looking for a healthy meal this is the place. the food is also made fresh so you may have to wait for your food. So bring a book and catch up on reading. or while waiting you can read this blog :P

Prices range from RM9.90 til RM19.90. Their All Day Breakfast (RM19.90) is also really worth it because it comes with coffee and the meal comes with 2 different sausages, 2 eggs you can have it scrambled, sunny side up(recommended), baked beans, 2 slices of bacon. Really worth I feel and there is no extra charge.
